  • CobbLinc Routes

    CobbLincCobbLinc will link with MARTA and provide connectivity to downtown Atlanta and all of Cobb County, helping to take cars off the road and offer a transit alternative to fans.

    Interstate North Parkway and Interstate North Circle

    This project will realign Interstate North Parkway at Interstate North Circle to facilitate daily traffic onto the Circle, rather than the Parkway. This shift in traffic will move commuters away from the stadium traffic and associated pedestrian activities.

    Widening of Cobb Parkway

    The existing roadway will be widened from five lanes to six with new sidewalks, multiuse trail and new traffic signals.

    Windy Ridge Over I-75

    Windy Ridge Over I-75Widening the bridge by 42 feet will provide enhanced pedestrian accommodations, plaza and greenway space. Construction is underway with a completion date expected in summer 2017. The pedestrian bridge will bring new connectivity to the Cumberland area.

    Windy Ridge at Circle 75

    Windy Ridge at Circle 75The Braves are funding the construction of an elevated L-shaped bridge that will give pedestrians access from Windy Ridge Parkway to the front door of SunTrust Park.

    I-285 Multi-Use Bridge

    The I-285 multi-use bridge will accommodate pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit vehicles. Beginning at the Galleria, the 32 ft. wide bridge will include a transit lane, buffer and a multi-purpose trail.

    Diverging Diamond Interchange

    Diverging DiamondAn innovative intersection traffic solution that boosts capacity and alleviates congestion, the new diverging diamond interchange at Windy Hill Road will ease the flow of heavy traffic by allowing two directions of traffic to cross the opposite side of the side or cross street at or near the bridge point over the freeway.     Windy Hill CorridorA median, as well as additional lanes, will be added to improve safety and boost capacity.

    Cobb Parkway at Windy Hill Road

    Cobb Parkway at Windy Hill RoadThe intersection of SR3/US 41/Cobb Parkway and Windy Hill Road/CR 1720 will feature new dual left-turn lanes on the north and south legs of Cobb Parkway, lengthening the existing dual left-turn lanes. A right-turn lane on the west leg of Windy Hill Road will be added, as well as a third northbound lane on Cobb Parkway. Additionally, space for future queue jumper lanes will improve service times for transit vehicles at the signal.

    Cobb Parkway at Windy Ridge ParkwayThe existing southbound left-turn lane will be extended, while an eastbound right-turn overlap will be installed. More capacity will be added by extending the third northbound lane for almost a half mile from Herodian Way to Plumtree Parkway.

    A barrier separated ramp will be added from I-285 to Circle 75 Parkway. This is one of three Cobb Parkway projects that are actually one large construction job.

    Spring RoadSpring Road, from U.S. 41 to Bell Drive, will be widened to three lanes in each direction with a raised median.

    A full-depth eastbound shoulder that is wide enough to operate a third right-turn flex lane will be installed.
