Vinnie resides in Thompson’s Station Tenn., with his wife, Ryann…the couple got engaged on Sept. 25, 2022, after the Royals home finale in which they overcame a nine-run deficit to beat Seattle, 13-12...Pasquantino played for Team Italy in the 2023 World Baseball Classic...He played baseball for three seasons at Old Dominion University, where Manager Matt Quatraro, and Royals Second Assistant Athletic Trainer Dave Iannicca attended…as a sophomore in 2018, Pasquantino matched a school record with a 6-for-6 game...Pasquantino in 2018 slashed .298/.402/.560 with 15 HR and 53 RBI in 65 games as a junior at ODU...He graduated from James River HS (Va.), where he hit .537 as a junior and earned First Team All-Region 61 South honors.

Vinnie made the Opening Day roster for the first time in 2023, but underwent surgery in June to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder and missed the final 99 games...In 38 games through May 10, he hit .298 (42-for-141) with 20 extra-base hits and a .922 OPS…but in his final 23 games before undergoing season-ending surgery, he hit .167 (15-for-90) with a .505 OPS...Had a career-high-tying 21-game on-base streak from April 5-27, which was the longest such streak by a Royal in 2023...Named Royals Player of the Month for March/April after he led the team with a .375 on-base percentage and had an .875 OPS in 29 games...His 8.39 PA/K ranked 5th in the American League (min. 250 PA)...His .424 slugging percentage with two strikes led the American League (min. 100 PA) and trailed only Ronald Acuña Jr. (.441) and Mookie Betts (.435) for the Major League lead. + Of his 19 career HR, 12 have given the Royals a lead.

At the time he was promoted to the Majors on July 27, Pasquantino led Minor League Baseball with 70 RBI in 73 games, and among all of baseball—including the Majors—he trailed only Pete Alonso (72 RBI)... Pasquantino made his Major League debut on June 28, 2022 vs. Texas and recorded his first hit—a home run off Michael Pineda—in his third game, on July 1, becoming the eighth Royal to have hit 1st hit be a HR. .. He hit his second homer in Game 1 of the July 11 doubleheader vs. Detroit’s Michael Pineda, becoming the third Royal to hit his first two career HR vs. the same pitcher, following Jim Rooker (vs. Jim Kaat in 1969) and Brandon Berger (vs. Mark Buehrle in 2001). .. Pasquantino was named American League Player of the Week for the period of Aug. 8-14, during which he slashed .455/.500/1.045 (10-for-22) with a league-best four HR…he led the league in slugging and total bases (23) and his 10 hits tied for the AL lead…he was the first Royals rookie to win AL Player of the Week honors since Mike Aviles July 28-Aug. 3, 2008. .. He finished his rookie season with more walks (35) than strikeouts (34), and was one of only eight players in the Majors to do that in 2022 (min. 200 PA), and was the first Royal since Alberto Callaspo in 2009... Pasquantino finished the season with a career-best 19-game on-base streak, which is tied for the 3rd-longest active run in the Majors entering 2023, trailing only Aaron Judge (33) and Shohei Ohtani (23)...He homered in both games of Kansas City’s Aug. 9 doubleheader vs. the White Sox, becoming the 13th player (17th instance) to homer in both games of a double dip and the first since Whit Merrifield in 2017... Pasquantino was the Royals Player of the Month for September/October, during which he slashed .361/.449/.482 (30-for-83) and ranked 3rd in the Majors in batting average, trailing only Bo Bichette (.406) and Aaron Judge (.380)... Was named the Quad Cities Player of the Year, after hitting a combined .300/.394/.563 (131-for-437) between Advanced-A Quad Cities and Double-A Northwest Arkansas...Finished tied for second among all minor league players in doubles (37), sixth in extra-base hits (64) and 11th in total bases (246)...Among Royals minor league players, he was tops in doubles and batting average, second in hits, third in walks (64), tied for fourth in runs scored (79) and fifth in home runs (24)...He opened the year with the River Bandits and hit .291 (69-for-237) with 20 doubles, three triples, 13 homers, 33 walks and 42 RBI, before being promoted to the Naturals on July 20...Was tabbed a High-A Central postseason All-Star at first base...Appeared in eight games for Los Tigres del Licey in the Dominican Winter League.
