This Day in Baseball History:
December 17, 1992 > The Minnesota Twins sign hometown native Dave Winfield to a free agent contract. The St. Paul native helped the Toronto Blue Jays to the World Championship in 1992, driving in the winning run with a double in Game 7 of the World Series. Winfield will hit .271 with 21 home runs for the Twins in 1993.
