Baseball Expos, L.P. select Ticketmaster as official ticketing company
tickets for any Major League Baseball game
The Baseball Expos, L.P. announced Friday that it reached an agreement with Ticketmaster to be the official ticketing partner of the new Major League Baseball franchise in Washington, D.C.

"Establishing a ticketing system is an exciting and important step in bringing baseball to fans in Washington, DC," said Tony Tavares, president of Baseball Expos, L.P. "Our goal is to get the system up and running as quickly as possible so fans can begin making plans to visit the ballpark next season."

"We are delighted to have been selected to provide the ticketing services for the new MLB Washington, D.C. baseball team. We are bringing all of Ticketmaster's resources and technology to the table to provide a smooth and effortless ticketbuying experience for fans during the inaugural season at RFK Stadium," said Patrick R. Darr, President/CEO of Ticketmaster Group, L.P., the Ticketmaster Licensee for Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

Season ticket deposits will start to be accepted on Nov. 18, and details of the deposit procedures will be announced shortly. Fans can continue to log on to www.dcbaseball.com for news updates, as well as register their interest for season ticket information and e-mail updates. All fans who register for season ticket information and e-mail updates on www.dcbaseball.com, and those who have previously registered an interest in obtaining season tickets through the Washington Baseball Club (www.baseballindc.com), will be contacted shortly via e-mail regarding season ticket deposit procedures.

The anticipated sales schedule will be patterned after those of other Major League franchises, starting with season ticket sales, followed by mini-plans and single game seats. Seating configuration and pricing structure are still in development, with average ticket prices expected to range from $24 to $26 and reserved seats starting as low as $7.

"We are committed to offering tickets at wide range of price points so that baseball is affordable and fun for fans throughout the Washington area," said Tavares. "This is part of our overall commitment to making RFK Stadium a family-friendly ballpark."

Baseball Expos, L.P. based its selection of Ticketmaster on a variety of factors, including the company's excellent track record of serving clients in the Washington, D.C., area, such as its demonstrated ability to handle the ticketing needs of D.C. United and RFK Stadium. Locally, Ticketmaster provides ticketing services for the Washington area major league teams of: NBA's Washington Wizards, NHL's Washington Capitals, WNBA's Washington Mystics, MLS's D.C. United, as well as the NFL's Baltimore Ravens.
