LHP Pedro Feliciano to play in Japan
New York Mets lefthanded pitcher Pedro Feliciano's contract was sold today to the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks of the Japanese Pacific League.
Feliciano, 28, went 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA in 22 games with the Mets last year. In 18.1 innings, he permitted 14 hits, 12 runs, 11 earned, with 12 walks and 14 strikeouts. In addition, Pedro was 4-3 with two saves and a 5.30 ERA in 32 contests with Norfolk (AAA) of the International League. In 35.2 innings, he allowed 35 hits, 25 runs, 21 earned, with 15 walks and 25 strikeouts.
