Harvey roundtrip replay lifts KC

The Rangers rapped 13 hits Wednesday off the Royals, but squeezed out just three runs as Texas lost for the first time in its last five games. Staff ace Kenny Rogers took the loss, his first of the 2004 season, despite 6 2/3 solid innings on the hill.

Ken Harvey had an apparent three-run homer ruled foul in the fifth. No matter. Harvey returned to the box and deposited Kenny Rogers' next pitch over the wall to give the Royals a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Jimmy Gobble got the win, but left with a left leg injury.
