Cardinals shock Reds with seven-run ninth inning

Jim Edmonds crushed a three-run homer and John Mabry came through with a two-run shot to cap a seven-run ninth inning for the Cardinals, marking the biggest final-inning comeback in the franchise's storied history.

Reds' bullpen unable to finish off resilient Cards

Rich Aurilia, Ken Griffey Jr. and Adam Dunn each went deep as the Reds jumped to a six-run lead. Things unraveled in the ninth though as David Weathers and Danny Graves let the Cardinals score seven runs.
