With a playoff berth just a victory away, the Red Sox fell to the Indians, as Josh Beckett yielded four runs over six innings to take the loss. David Ortiz smoked his 23rd homer, but it wasn't enough for Boston, which fell to 2 1/2 games back in the AL East while holding a six-game lead over the Yankees in the Wild Card race.
