It wasn't a great night for the Royals, who were slowed at the plate by the Jays' Scott Richmond and saw staff leader Gil Meche leave in a four-run Toronto fourth inning with lower back stiffness. KC managed just five hits against Richmond, scoring on David DeJesus' double in the fifth.
