Bengie Molina and Eugenio Velez each belted two-run homers but Tim Lincecum's bid for a National League-best 13th victory was denied when the Reds plated two in the eighth. The Giants then allowed five runs in the ninth in sloppy fashion, committing five errors in the contest to falter in the series opener.
