Dear Fans,

It's been a couple of weeks since my last update. I can hardly believe that the summer is over. My kids are going back to school and we're in the last stretch of the season.

This past month, we've had some good winning streaks and have been able to move up in the division. Every game counts now as we enter the last month of the season. It seems like when we are able to put it all together, we come up with a win. Lately, I've been feeling pretty good and have been able to play consistantly, taking a day off here and there. I recently tied my godfather for seventh on the career RBIs list. It was nice to share another milestone with Willie.

There has been a lot of talk lately regarding my plans for next season. I really feel that I can play and be productive next year. This winter, I will be able to concentrate my time and energy on training and getting my body ready instead of rehabbing. But, to be honest, this is a decision that I am going to have to make with my family. During the offseason we will be able to sit down and talk about whether or not I am going to retire. It's hard being gone all year long and missing out on all of their activities. My kids are getting older and I need to be part of their lives, especially concerning school activities. It will be a tough decision, but one that I will not make alone.

I hope everyone has enjoyed their summer!
