Twenty Jeter's Leaders turned out to celebrate the Grand Opening of the second "24 Hour Fitness - Derek Jeter" club in Manhattan on May 19, 2009. Derek hosted a media event to showcase the new club and the day was highlighted by a special boot camp style workout session for the Jeter's Leaders, led by a 24 Hour Fitness Trainer. Derek walked around the room and interacted with the children, then posed for various photo opportunities and conducted one-on-one interviews with the media.
