Pedro is in his seventh year with the Royals' organization and second as the club's quality control/ catching coach…has served as the catching coach for the previous three-plus seasons (2014-17), while he has also served as the hitting coach (2013-14) and special assignment coach (2013) during his tenure ... During his time as the team's catching coach, Salvador Perez has been selected to start in the All-Star game five straight seasons (2014-18) and has been named a Rawlings Gold Glove winner four times (2014-16, 2018) ... Named KC's Major League special assignment coach on May 30, 2013...took over hitting coach duties on a full-time basis on July 25, 2013 ... Joined the Royals' organization in 2013 as the hitting coach for Surprise (Rookie), after 13 seasons in the Seattle Mariners' system ... Served as the manager at High Desert (A) in 2012, leading the Mavericks to an 83-57 regular-season record ...
