The Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy

In Partnership with the District Government
Uses the sports of baseball and softball as vehicles to foster positive character development, academic achievement and improved health among at-risk Washington, D.C., youth. Located in Ward 7's Fort Dupont Park, the Academy campus opened officially in March, 2014, and includes three baseball fields and an education center. The Dream Foundation provided a $1 million payment during the preconstruction phase and will pay out another $2.5 million dollars over ten years while continuing to fundraise for the Academy.

Washington Nationals Legacy Fields

Through the Legacy Fields program, one youth baseball and/or softball field in the Washington, D.C. region will be renovated each year by the Nationals Dream Foundation. The inaugural Legacy Field, Ryan Zimmerman Field, opened in April 2016 at Randall Recreation Center located just a few blocks from Nationals Park. The second Legacy Field, Iván "Pudge" Rodríguez Field, opened in August 2017 at Mason District Park in Annandale, VA.

Delta Dream Grants

Delta Dream Grants are awarded annually to nonprofits that directly provide services to children and teens in the Washington, D.C. region in the areas of academics, the arts, nutrition and sports. Additionally, Delta Dream Grants support nonprofits that refurbish youth baseball fields. Sponsored by Nationals corporate partner, Delta Air Lines, the funding will provide local organizations with targeted support for effective programming in accordance with the mission of the Dream Foundation and Delta Air Lines' commitment to give back to the communities where employees live and work.

The Washington Nationals Diabetes Care Complex at Children's National

The Washington Nationals Diabetes Care Complex at Children's National opened in June, 2013, and offers a multi-disciplinary approach to supporting children with diabetes and their families. With state-of-the-art treatment rooms and a multi-functional education center, which includes a demonstration kitchen, the facility houses the largest pediatric diabetes program in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The Washington Nationals Miracle Field

The Washington Nationals Miracle Field opened in August, 2011, and serves as the home for the Miracle League of Montgomery County, Maryland. The Miracle League provides children with mental and/or physical challenges the opportunity to safely play baseball. The field incorporates a cushioned synthetic turf that allows children using wheelchairs and walkers to "run" the bases without fear of injury.
