Astros Face In-State Rival Texas Rangers in Lone Star Series Weekend Homestand

Baseball returns to Minute Maid Park as the Astros take on the in-state rival Texas Rangers in what will be the second Lone Star Series presented by Texas Lottery of the season, the first in Houston. The Astros won the Silver Boot in 2017 with a 12-7 record, and currently lead the 2018 Lone Star Series, 3-1.

Baseball returns to Minute Maid Park as the Astros take on the in-state rival Texas Rangers in what will be the second Lone Star Series presented by Texas Lottery of the season, the first in Houston. Single game tickets, season tickets, group tickets and suite rentals, which provide fans with the best value for the biggest games, are available now and selling out quickly, so fans are encouraged to purchase early. As a reminder regarding tickets, all fans must either have their printed tickets in hand or utilize the MLB Ballpark App on their mobile devices to access Minute Maid Park and any Astros Street Fests. PDFs, screenshots or any photos of tickets on a mobile device will NOT be accepted, and the Astros will not be able to print tickets on-site. As part of the Astros' ongoing commitment to the safety of all fans, there is no re-entry into the ballpark once fans are scanned in, a policy consistent with the Astros postseason game day protocol as well as with other sports and entertainment venues around the country.

The Astros created a special H Strong jewelry collection in partnership with Jostens, the net proceeds of which will benefit the Astros Foundation's ongoing Harvey recovery efforts.
Friday, April 13 vs. Texas Rangers - 7:10 p.m.
The Lone Star Series presented by Texas Lottery kicks off on Friday as the Astros face the in-state rival Texas Rangers at Minute Maid Park. Friday's 7:10 p.m. game will air on all of the Astros flagship stations: AT&T SportsNet, SportsTalk 790 KBME and La Ranchera 850 AM/101.7 FM.
Big and Bright Friday Nights return to Minute Maid Park this Friday with a special Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser at the Budweiser Brew House, where fans can enjoy $6, 16oz Budweiser Signature Draft beer and food specials, a live DJ, corn hole, jenga, and more from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. before every Friday night home game.
Come get loud and rowdy every Friday night in the Astros dedicated fan-section, 'StroZone, presented by Texas Mahindra Dealers! This Friday night's 'StroZone includes an exclusive Super Springer 'StroZone T-shirt for fans. To cap off Big and Bright Friday Night, fans are invited to stay after the game for Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Occidental Petroleum. This Friday's fireworks display will be set to country music. Upon conclusion of Friday's game and prior to the start of Friday Night Fireworks, fans will be asked to move from the following sections for their safety and enjoyment: Home Run Alley, Escalator Tower Stairs in Center Field, Budweiser Brew House Tiers, Budweiser Batter's Eye Bar, Torchy's Deck, Crawford Boxes and sections 100-109, 205-208, 305-309, and 405-409.
Saturday, April 14 vs. Texas Rangers - 3:05 p.m.
The Lone Star Series presented by Texas Lottery continues on Saturday with the George Springer World Series MVP bobblehead presented by Coca-Cola for 10,000 fans. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early to receive any promotional giveaways, as supplies are limited and not guaranteed. However, fans will not be allowed to line up for giveaways prior to 8:00 a.m. on any giveaway day this season.
Saturday's 3:05 p.m. afternoon contest will broadcast nationally on FS1 and Fox Deportes, locally on AT&T SportsNet and on the Astros flagship radio stations SportsTalk 790 KBME and La Ranchera 850 AM/101.7 FM.
Sunday, April 15 vs. Texas Rangers - 7:05 p.m.
The Lone Star Series presented by Texas Lottery wraps up on Sunday at 7:05 p.m. on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball. The evening contest will broadcast nationally, exclusively on ESPN, and on the Astros flagship radio stations SportsTalk 790 KBME and La Ranchera 850 AM/101.7 FM.
Sunday, April 15 is Jackie Robinson Day, celebrated throughout Major League Baseball to honor Robinson's legacy of inclusion and courage as the first African-American baseball player to break the color barrier. The Astros will host a special pregame reception, featuring Jackie Robinson Foundation scholars and alumni, former Astros players and several Houston community leaders. Judson Robinson, President and CEO of the Houston Area Urban League, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. The Houston Area Urban League, founded on June 19, 1968, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Additionally, several local Jackie Robinson Foundation scholars and alumni will be recognized on the field during a pregame ceremony and members of the Astros Youth Academy will participate in Kids Take the Field, lining up alongside Astros players for the National Anthem. As is tradition throughout MLB, all Astros and Rangers players will wear No. 42 on their uniforms.
The Astros are hosting families from the Sunshine Kids for their first meet and greet of the season with Astros players and coaches prior to Sunday's game. The meet and greet will be held in the press conference room following Astros batting practice.
Sunday is also Social Media Night presented by AT&T, which will take place on the Union Station Rooftop Patio.
