Astros Legends Weekend Highlights Upcoming Six-Game Homestand

The first-place Astros return home after a successful 6-2 road trip to host the AL West rival Seattle Mariners for four games, beginning tomorrow, Aug. 9 through Sunday, Aug. 12. The Astros are 6-3 against the Mariners so far this season, with 10 games remaining between the two clubs. Following the four-game series, the Astros will host the Colorado Rockies for a two-game set, Aug. 14-15. Houston enters the six-game homestand with a 5.5 game lead in the AL West Division over the Oakland A's and lead the Majors in run differential at +202. The 2018 Astros have posted their best 115-game record in franchise history at 73-42, besting their previous record set last year by two games (71-44).

TICKET POLICY
As a reminder regarding tickets, all fans must either have their printed tickets in hand or utilize the MLB Ballpark App on their mobile devices to access Minute Maid Park and any Astros Street Fests. PDFs, screenshots or any photos of tickets on a mobile device will NOT be accepted, and the Astros will not be able to print tickets on-site. As part of the Astros' ongoing commitment to the safety of all fans, there is no re-entry into the ballpark once fans are scanned in, a policy consistent with the Astros postseason game day protocol as well as with other sports and entertainment venues around the country.
Thursday, August 9 vs. Seattle Mariners - 7:10 p.m.
To kick off the homestand, all fans in attendance on Thursday will receive a TOPPS National Baseball Card Pack at gates. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early to receive any promotional giveaways, however, fans will not be allowed to line up for giveaways prior to 8:00 a.m.
Additionally, the Astros Foundation will host the Make-A-Wish Foundation and special 10-year-old patient Ayden Stroud to fulfill his wish of meeting some of his favorite Astros players.
Friday, August 10 vs. Seattle Mariners - 7:10 p.m.
During a special pregame ceremony, Astros outfielder Tony Kemp will present a $5,000 check from his #Hugs4Homers T-shirt campaign to Astros Foundation Executive Director Twila Carter. The funds raised by Kemp will benefit the Astros Youth Academy.
Friday marks the beginning of Legends Weekend presented by Houston Methodist with Turn Back the Clock Night! The Astros are throwing it back to 1979, so fans are encouraged to dress up in their 70's attire while the Astros and Mariners wear their uniforms from that year. In-game entertainment will have its own 70's vibe and a special Friday Night Fireworks show will be set to some of the best tunes from the 70's.
Additionally, 10,000 fans will receive a George Springer Replica Rainbow Jersey presented by Houston Methodist. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early to receive any promotional giveaways, as supplies are limited and not guaranteed. However, fans will not be allowed to line up for giveaways prior to 8:00 a.m. the day of the giveaway.
Big and Bright Friday Nights are back at Minute Maid Park this Friday with a special Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser at the Budweiser Brew House, where fans can enjoy $6, 16oz Budweiser Signature Draft beer and food specials, a live DJ, corn hole, jenga, and more from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. before every Friday night home game.
Come get loud and rowdy every Friday night in the Astros dedicated fan-section, 'StroZone, presented by Texas Mahindra Dealers! This Friday night's 'StroZone, which is sold-out, includes an exclusive "Throwback to the Dome - Home Run Bull" 'StroZone T-shirt for fans, in honor of Turn Back the Clock Night. To cap off Big and Bright Friday Night, fans are invited to stay after the game for Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Occidental Petroleum. The fireworks display will be set to a 70's/Disco musical theme. Upon conclusion of Friday's game and prior to the start of Friday Night Fireworks, fans will be asked to move from the following sections for their safety and enjoyment: Home Run Alley, Escalator Tower Stairs in Center Field, Budweiser Brew House Tiers, Budweiser Batter's Eye Bar, Torchy's Deck, Crawford Boxes and sections 100-109, 205-208, 305-309, and 405-409.
Saturday, August 11 vs. Seattle Mariners - 6:10 p.m.
Legends Weekend continues on Saturday when 10,000 fans receive a Carlos Beltrán 2004 Playoff Bobblehead presented by Houston Methodist. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early to receive any promotional giveaways, as supplies are limited and not guaranteed. However, fans will not be allowed to line up for giveaways prior to 8:00 a.m. the day of the giveaway.
Additionally, several Astros Legends will participate in a free pregame autograph session in Union Station Lobby, which is now sold-out. Legends scheduled to appear include Bob Aspromonte, Brandon Backe, Philip Barzilla, Kevin Bass, Ryan Bowen, Kirk Bullinger, Enos Cabell, Ron Cook, Larry Dierker, Benny Distefano, Phil Garner, Bill Heath, Art Howe, John Hudek, Cliff Johnson, Javier Ortiz, Leon McFadden, Dave Meads, Michael Meadows, Jackie Moore, Shane Reynolds, J.R. Fans are invited to stay after the game on Saturday for an Astros After Party presented by Budweiser, located in the Budweiser Brew House in Center Field. The Astros After Party will begin in the 8th inning and go until one hour after the final out. Fans can enjoy live music, trivia, food and beverage specials, games and visits from the Astros Coca-Cola Shooting Stars.
Sunday, August 12 vs. Seattle Mariners - 1:10 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to take their seats early to watch the 2018 Legends Weekend Home Run Derby! The pregame event will begin at 12:00 p.m. and will feature the following Astros Legends: Hall of Famer Craig Biggio, Astros TV broadcaster Geoff Blum, AT&T SportsNet analyst Preston Wilson and Luke Scott, who was the first Astros rookie to hit for the cycle in 2005. Astros bullpen catcher Javier Bracamonte will throw for the 2018 Legends Weekend Home Run Derby, which will be emceed by Astros radio broadcaster Steve Sparks. Please note all legends and personnel are subject to change.
The Astros will host 90 guests from Honor Flight Houston, including 32 World War II and Korean War veterans, for a special pregame ceremony. The Honor Flight program transports our nation's heroes to Washington, D.C., to see the memorials built in their honor. World War II veteran Robert Roenigk will also throw out a ceremonial first pitch.
Following Sunday's afternoon contest, young Astros fans 5-12 are invited to participate in Kids Run the Bases presented by Securian Financial. The line for Kids Run the Bases will begin at Section 131/132.
Tuesday, August 14 vs. Colorado Rockies - 7:10 p.m.
Prior to Tuesday's evening contest, the Astros Foundation and Gardner Denver will welcome Houston Fire Department Station 38, located at 1120 Silber Road, into the Adopt-A-Fire Station program, which seeks to support local first responders and the work they do in the Houston community. The program connects Houston fire stations and Astros players. On Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., Astros pitcher Joe Smith will present a framed jersey and visit with Houston Fire Department Station 38 first responders. Please note that date and player are subject to change.
Every Tuesday night home game is $1 Hot Dog Night presented by Nolan Ryan Beef! Fans can purchase an unlimited number of Nolan Ryan Beef hot dogs at $1 each while supplies last (limit of four per person per concession visit).
Wednesday, August 15 vs. Colorado Rockies - 7:10 p.m.
Wrapping up the homestand on Wednesday, the Astros Foundation will host the Make-A-Wish Foundation and special 15-year-old patient Duncan Graham to fulfill his wish of meeting his favorite Astros player, Jose Altuve.

COMMISSIONER'S TROPHY ON DISPLAY
Astros fans can view and take photos with the Commissioner's Trophy, free of charge, when the Astros play at home at Minute Maid Park, Monday through Thursday, beginning when gates open until 30 minutes prior to first pitch. A limited number of vouchers for the photo opportunity will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The Commissioner's Trophy will be available in the Atrium, just outside Union Station Lobby on the main concourse. During Astros home games Friday through Sunday, the Trophy will be on display in the Union Station Team Store from the time gates upon through the end of the game.
