Houston Astros to deliver holiday gifts to Ronald McDonald House Houston

Astros players, Orbit and front office staff make deliveries on Wednesday, December 18

Houston Astros players, including pitchers Jarred Cosart and Josh Zeid, mascot Orbit and members of the Astros Front Office will deliver gifts to the children and families at the Ronald McDonald House Houston on Wednesday, December 18. Many of the children struggling with cancer and other life threatening illnesses will receive special gifts selected just for them. The Astros will also be contributing to the organization's "Santa Store." The Santa Store at Ronald McDonald House Houston allows families the opportunity to "shop" and select gifts for their family members for free. Many family members find it difficult to shop for holiday gifts while staying at the Ronald McDonald House and caring for a child undergoing treatment for significant medical issues.

The visit will take place from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Ronald McDonald House, located at 1907 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030.

The Ronald McDonald House Houston offers a home away from home, providing care, compassion and hope to families with seriously ill children being treated in Texas Medical Center member institutions.
