Carlos Correa is getting hot at the right time.
The Astros shortstop was named the American League Player of the Week on Monday for the final week of the 2017 season. It's the third time in his career he's received the honor, as he was recognized twice in '16.

Correa sat atop most AL offensive leaderboards for the week, with a .520 average (first), 10 RBIs (first), three homers (tied for second), 1.040 slugging (third), with a pair of game-winning RBIs. He also had a pair of four-hit games, and in the process set a career milestone with his 24th homer.
Notably, Correa went 6-for-10 with a double, homer and three RBIs in the Astros' final series of the season against the Red Sox, Houston's opponent in the American League Division Series presented by Doosan, which opens on Thursday.

"It's impressive because he's getting comfortable," Astros manager A.J. Hinch said. "His timing is getting better. We're going to look forward to these kinds of at-bats. He's a big-time player."
