HOUSTON -- With three days remaining for fans to vote in starting position players on the 2018 Camping World MLB All-Star Ballot, the Astros are certain to have one starter, Jose Altuve, and they're on the fringe to have plenty more.

Shortstop Carlos Correa, first baseman Yuli Gurriel and surging third baseman Alex Bregman are each in second place at their respective positions.
For consecutive weeks, Altuve has lodged himself as MLB's leading vote-getter with 3,405,815 votes as of Monday's ballot update, racing past Boston's Mookie Betts and the entire second-base field with the most votes among all MLB players. Yankees rookie Gleyber Torres trails Altuve by nearly 2.5 million votes.

Bregman, who scorched opponents for 30 RBIs and 21 extra-base hits in 26 games in June, has made up ground behind Cleveland's Jose Ramirez with 1,050,370 total votes. Ramirez remains in first place with a sizable 1,811,902-vote lead.
Correa (1,135,152), the 2017 All-Star starting shortstop currently on the 10-day disabled list with back stiffness, trailed by fewer than 200,000 votes behind Baltimore's Manny Machado at 1,272,233.

Gurriel with 1,088,068 votes was behind White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu, who has 1,312,221 votes.
Other Astros in contention: Brian McCann with 961,325 votes ranks third among all AL catchers. Designated hitter Evan Gattis (third), outfielders George Springer (fourth), Marwin Gonzalez (seventh), Josh Reddick (eighth).

Fans may cast votes for starters at MLB.com and all 30 club sites -- on computers, tablets and smartphones -- exclusively online using the 2018 Camping World MLB All-Star Ballot until Thursday at 11:59 p.m. ET. On smartphones and tablets, fans can also access the ballot via the MLB At Bat and MLB Ballpark mobile apps. Each fan can vote up to five times in any 24-hour period, for a maximum of 35 ballots cast.
Following the announcement of this year's All-Star starters, reserves and pitchers, fans should return to MLB.com and cast their 2018 Camping World MLB All-Star Final Vote for the final player on each league's roster. Then on Tuesday, July 17, while watching the 2018 All-Star Game presented by Mastercard live on FOX, fans may visit MLB.com to submit their choices for the Ted Williams Most Valuable Player Award presented by Chevrolet with the 2018 MLB All-Star Game MVP Vote.
