Astros announce 2021 Minor League staff

HOUSTON, TX — The Houston Astros Player Development Department has announced its minor league field staff for the 2021 season:

Mickey Storey will return to serve as the Astros Triple A manager in what will be Houston’s first season of affiliation with the Sugar Land Skeeters. Storey has been the Astros Triple A manager since 2019.

Former Astros infielder Gregorio Petit will serve as manager of Double A Corpus Christi. Petit was slated to serve as the Hooks manager in 2020 prior to the cancellation of the 2020 minor league season.

Nate Shaver has served as the Astros High-A manager since 2019, and has been with the Astros since 2018. Ray Hernandez has been Houston’s Class A manager since 2019, and has also been with Houston since 2018.

The Astros will operate two Complex League teams from their facility at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Fla. Wladimir Sutil, who has been a manager in the Astros system since 2017, and Ricky Rivera, who joined the Astros in 2020, will serve as managers for the two clubs in Florida.
