HOUSTON, TX – Astros third base coach Gary Pettis is not at Minute Maid Park today due to an illness. As a result, Omar Lopez, who normally coaches first base, will replace Pettis as third base coach for tonight’s American League Championship Series game vs. the Yankees. Astros quality coach Dan Firova will coach first base tonight.

Lopez and Firova spent the 2021 season handling third base and first base coaching duties, respectively, for the Astros.
