HOUSTON, TX - Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent social distancing guidelines, the Astros are holding their annual FanFest in a virtual format in 2021. Astros Virtual FanFest presented by HEB will take place this Saturday, Feb. 27, from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on the Astros Facebook (facebook.com/Astros), Twitter (@astros), and Instagram (@astrosbaseball) channels.

Additionally, the Astros will host an exclusive retail event for fans at the Team Store in Right Field on Friday and Saturday (details below).

ASTROS VIRTUAL FANFEST

Typically held at Minute Maid Park each January with dozens of players and thousands of fans in attendance, Astros Virtual FanFest presented by HEB will feature pre-recorded Clubhouse Chats with some of the most popular players on the team, including Carlos Correa, Alex Bregman, Lance McCullers Jr., Michael Brantley, Kyle Tucker, Martín Maldonado and more.

Fans will also have the chance to win Astros autographed baseballs by following the club’s Twitter account throughout the day. Prizes will be given out every half hour via a Retweet-to-Win campaign.

In addition to the Clubhouse Chats, Correa, Bregman, and Maldonado will break down some of the biggest on-field moments of the last few Astros postseason runs.

For the Astros Spanish-speaking fans, there will be Clubhouse Chats conducted entirely in Spanish with José Urquidy, Cristian Javier, Enoli Paredes, Aledmys Díaz, and top Astros prospect Pedro Leon.

PROMOTIONAL event AT THE TEAM STORE

The Astros are holding a promotional event at the Astros Team Store in Right Field to coincide with Astros Virtual FanFest. Select items at the store will be marked down as low as 90% off. All fans who spend $100-or-more will receive a Justin Verlander bobblehead (while supplies last).

The store will be open from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, and from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27. The Astros Shooting Stars will make an appearance from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. All transactions will be cashless, and the store will have an expanded footprint to accommodate a socially-distanced experience. Fans can enter the store from the Right Field Gate at the corner of Preston St. and Hamilton St. Free parking is available in Lot A.
