Rules & Regulations

Bring your Dog if he/she:

  • Is old enough to be around other dogs and people (at least 6 months of age)
  • Is up to date on all required vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella)
  • Is in good health
  • Does well on-leash and is not aggressive toward other dogs
  • Is friendly toward humans and not excessively fearful
  • Is on a leash and accompanied by a responsible adult
  • Is an Astros fan!

*Please note: Reserved Seating is available to dogs 1-80 lbs ONLY. Dogs exceeding 80 lbs may enjoy the game from our Barking Room Only Section in Home Run Alley or our Dog Zone on the Plaza on Crawford Street. Barking Room Only Tickets DO NOT include a seat for you or your dog

Don't bring your Dog if he/she:

  • Is still too young to mix with a big crowd (under 6 months)
  • Is a senior dog that would have trouble being outside for an extended period of time
  • Does not respond well to large crowds and loud noises
  • Has aggressive tendencies towards other dogs or humans while on-leash (or off);
  • Is exhibiting any signs of illness close to the game (i.e. cough, nasal discharge, diarrhea, etc.) These symptoms can be a sign of potentially infectious illness and it would probably be best for your dog as well as the other dogs in attendance, if they did not attend.

Additional Rules & Regulations

If you have a dog that is an aggressive breed, or with aggressive tendencies, you should STRONGLY consider not attending this event. The Houston Astros reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog or request a dog who has expressed aggression to leave the game and event without a refund for the owner or dog's ticket. Older dogs, dogs with short muzzles and/or dogs in general that are quickly prone to heat exhaustion should consider not attending this event or possibly plan on not staying for the entirety of the game. Even though there will be water and shady spots on hand, the direct sun and heat can be a deadly combination for dogs. Dogs cool themselves by panting and are not nearly as efficient as us humans. Please keep the comfort and safety of your dog in the forefront of your mind when planning this fun day at the ballpark.

The Astros reserve the right to deny any dog or human entry in Minute Maid Park and/or Dog Zone for any reason they may see fit. Participants are expected to practice responsible pet ownership. Do not bring your dog if it is unpredictable in crowds, with other dogs, and/or with strangers. Any participating dog must be at least 6 months old. Use good judgment regarding the temperament of your pet so that this event will be enjoyable for everyone. Do not bring your dog if it is unreliable in crowds or with other dogs. Do not bring a dog whose behavior could be dangerous to others. Do not bring a female dog in heat.
