The Oakland A's Community Fund holds events throughout the year to raise funds to support and further our mission. The fund endeavors to improve educational programs, aid the underprivileged, assist in crime and drug prevention, promote health awareness, and champion children and senior welfare. The Community Fund believes in the need to invest in the community's future.
A's Wives and Kendra Scott Fundraiser
Join the A's Wives at Kendra Scott in Walnut Creek on Saturday, April 21 from 11am to 2pm to shop the Kendra Scott jewelry collection and more. 20% of all purchases from 11am-2pm will benefit the A's Community Fund.
In addition, shop the A's wives customized selection of Color Bar pieces to honor the A's green and gold for the 50th Anniversary.
Every shopper visiting the store from 11am-2pm will receive an entry to enter to win the following prize: A Kendra Scott Phara Necklace, Elton Bracelet & Elisa Pendant in green or gold, along with a Batting Practice visit for four and four field level tickets to a mutually agreeable 2018 regular season A's home game. Community Fund Golf Classic
The 34th Annual A's Community Fund Golf Classic, presented by Chevron & Kelly-Moore Paints, was held on June 20, 2016 at the Round Hill Country Club in Alamo. This fundraising event raised over $120,000 to benefit the A's Community Fund which supports our education, baseball and donation programs that serve our Bay Area communities. Thank you to all of our sponsors, clients, fans, front office staff, player alumni, media celebrities and players/coaching staff for coming out to support the fund!
The A's Community Fund Golf Classic was launched in 1982 to raise funds for the A's Community Fund. The annual event is the largest fundraiser for the A's Community Fund, which supports charitable organizations in improving the quality of life for people throughout the Bay Area.
The 35th Annual A's Community Fund Golf Classic will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017.
Root Beer Float Day
The A's raised $38,460 at the 17th Annual Root Beer Float Day on July 19, 2016. Current and former Oakland A's players, local celebrities, and various Bay Area radio and television personalities were on hand to serve root beer floats. Since 2003, the A's have raised more than $486,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Special thanks to our presenting sponsor Dexcom, who were on site to educate fans on their continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) products and tools for adult and pediatric diabetic patients. Breast Cancer Awareness Day
The Oakland Athletics celebrated the 18th annual A's Breast Cancer Awareness Day with over 350 breast cancer survivors on Sunday, September 4, 2016. The event, raised over $112,000 which benefitted the American Cancer Society and the Cancer Prevention Institute of California.
Funds were raised through the sale of special ticket packages, commemorative pins, hats, pink jerseys, heart ribbon pendants, an A's autographed quilt raffle, and fan and sponsor support.
Pregame ceremonies featured over 350 Bay Area breast cancer survivors forming a symbolic human ribbon on the field in dedication of hope and survival, and the release of white doves as a symbol of hope.
In addition, as a part of "A Gift of Faith" grant, the A's donated $5,000 to the Carol Ann Read Breast Health Center, in memory of longtime KTVU Channel 2 reporter, the late Faith Fancher.
The 19th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Day was held on September 10, 2017, presented by Sutter Health. Supporting partners include Chevrolet, Comerica Bank, and Athena Water. Check back for details about the 2018 A's Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
A's Bowling Bash
The A's hosted their 4th Annual A's Bowling Bash on August 6, 2016 at the Earl Anthony's Dublin Bowl. The Bowling Bash event brings together A's coaches, players, and the community for a fun night of dinner and bowling benefiting the A's Community Fund. In 2016, the event raised over $115,000.

Holiday Party at the Zoo
Each year the A's Community Fund hosts over 100 students from a local school to a Holiday Party at the Oakland Zoo! Students are treated to a pizza lunch from Round Table Pizza, an animal close up educational component from the zoo, face painters, arts and crafts, and visits with Stomper, Santa, and A's Players.
Oakland A's Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson, current A's third baseman Ryon Healy and left fielder Khris Davis made the 2016 holiday season special for a group of deserving children at the A's Community Fund's annual holiday party at the Oakland Zoo, presented by Round Table Pizza. Healy and Davis signed autographs and made kaleidoscopes with students from Castlemont Primary School in Oakland, a reward for the students' excellent attendance and classroom behavior. Each child received a wrapped gift, courtesy of the Good Tidings Foundation, and the day also included face painting, arts and crafts, and a visit by Santa and A's mascot Stomper.
Every Saturday and Sunday home game (and select weekday games), the A's Community Fund hosts a silent auction featuring both signed and unsigned A's memorabilia as well as game-used items. The silent auction is located in the A's Fan Center behind Section 120 and ends with the last out in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Proceeds from the auction benefit the A's Community Fund and various other local charities. Purchased items are tax deductible.
