Scoreboard Messages and Special Packages

Commemorate a special event, birthday or anniversary by displaying a message on the A's scoreboard at an A's home game! Messages can now be reserved online with a donation to the A's Community Fund.

Scoreboard Message - $100

Messages are displayed during the 4th or 5th inning, while the game is in play, and can contain up to 80 characters, including spaces and punctuation. There is a maximum of 15 messages per game.

Scoreboard Message requests must be submitted no later than 36 hours prior to the start of the game. The A's reserve the right to reject or edit any message if necessary.

*Visibility of Main Board messages may be limited in some sections including portions of the right field.

Marriage Proposal Package - $250

Ready to pop the question? Create a lasting memory at your next A's game with a personalized, custom message on the Oakland Coliseum scoreboard, a bouquet of roses, plus a visit by Stomper to your seats during the 2nd through the 4th inning. Messages may be up to eighty (80) characters long, including spaces and punctuation, with the added opportunity to have an inning break dedicated to your proposal. Please note, there is a maximum of one (1) proposal per game.

Experience must be reserved no later than 72 hours prior to the game. The A's reserve the right to reject or edit any message if necessary.

Celebration Package - $250

Looking for the best way to celebrate someone special? Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, graduation, birthday, or a milestone moment, create a lasting memory at your next A's game with a personalized message on the scoreboard. Each package includes an opportunity to add a photo, plus a visit to your seats with a limited edition A's swag bag delivered by A's Stomper during the 2nd through the 4th inning. Messages may be up to eighty (80) characters long, including spaces and punctuation. There is a maximum of four (4) deliveries per game.

Experience must be reserved no later than 72 hours prior to the game. The A's reserve the right to reject or edit any message if necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many messages and celebration packages are available each game?

There are fifteen (15) scoreboard messages available each game. Celebration Packages and Marriage Proposal Packages are also limited by game and availability.

When do I have to request my message/package by?

Scoreboard Message requests must be submitted no later than 36 hours prior to the start of the game. Celebration Packages and Marriage Proposal Packages must be submitted no later than 72 hours prior to the start of the game.

What dates are available to reserve?

If you do not see the game listed, you have missed the deadline to order online. Orders will be processed in the order in which they are received, and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. You will receive an email confirmation shortly after the close of the submission period to confirm your order.

What content is not permitted for scoreboard messages?

The A's reserve the right to approve and edit any message if necessary. Messages that are obscene, offensive, include foul language, or refer to any other Major League Baseball organization will not be accepted. They may also not include the name of any current or former MLB/MiLB player. The message cannot be used for commercial purposes; however, you may welcome a group or company that is attending the game. Messages that contain statements or endorsements of issues or candidates are prohibited. No social media handles of any kind are allowed.

How long can my scoreboard message be?

Messages may be up to eighty (80) characters long, including spaces and punctuation.

When will my scoreboard message be displayed?

Messages will be displayed in the fourth or fifth inning, while the game is in play. Messages will NOT be displayed during inning breaks. Unfortunately, if you miss your message, we are NOT able to provide you with a refund.

When will Stomper visit my seats?

Stomper will visit Celebration Packages between the 2nd and 4th inning. Stomper will visit Marriage Proposal Packages between the 4th and 5th inning during the inning break. Unfortunately, if you miss Stomper's visit to your seats, we are NOT able to provide you with a refund. Your A's swag will be available for pick up at Guest Services.

What is included in the Packages swag bag?

Celebration Packages swag bag will include A's novelty items as well as age appropriate birthday items. Marriage Proposal Packages swag bag will include a bouquet of flowers along with A's novelty items to commemorate your special day.

What happens if the game on the date selected is not played?

You will receive a full refund if the game is canceled and/or postponed.

What happens if the person is not seated during the designated delivery window for the Celebration or Marriage Packages?

At the start of the game, an A's representative will contact the point of contact to confirm the delivery window. If the person is not in their seat during that time, the celebration bag will be left with guest services behind section 218 to be retrieved by the point of contact. No refunds will be permitted, and a second attempt to deliver your celebration bag will not be facilitated.
