A's agree to terms with 26 players from 2018 First-Year Player Draft

The Oakland Athletics have agreed to terms with 26 players from the 2018 First-Year Player Draft, including 10 of their first 14 picks.

The Oakland Athletics have agreed to terms with 26 players from the 2018 First-Year Player Draft, including 10 of their first 14 picks.
 
The top pick to agree to terms was the A's second round selection out of Dallas Baptist University, center fielder Jameson Hannah. He hit .363 with six home runs and 48 RBI in 59 games this year and is a two-time First Team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection.
 
The A's also agreed with their third through seventh round picks: left-handed pitcher Hogan Harris (3rd round, University of Louisiana -- Lafayette), first baseman Alfonso Rivas (4th, Arizona), right-handed pitcher Brady Feigl (5th, Ole Miss), outfielder Lawrence Butler (6th, Westlake HS) and right-handed pitcher Charlie Cerny (7th, Univ. of Illinois-Chicago). Harris was 5-2 with a 2.62 ERA in 12 games, Rivas was an All-Pac 12 selection after batting .342 with seven home runs and 52 RBI in 56 games, Feigl was 8-5 with a 4.03 ERA and 93 strikeouts in 91.2 innings, Butler hit .507 as a senior in high school and Cerney went 5-3 with a 1.63 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 55.1 innings.
 
The remaining players include right-handed pitcher Chase Cohen (9th, Georgia Southern), right-handed pitcher Clark Cota (10th, UNC Wilmington), outfielder Noah Vaughan (12th, Texas-Arlington), right-handed pitcher Dallas Woolfork (13th, Ole Miss), right-handed pitcher Bryce Nightengale (16th, George Mason), shortstop Cobie Vance (18th, Alabama), catcher Matt Cross (19th, Niagara County CC); second baseman Max Schuemann (20th, Eastern Michigan), right-handed pitcher Daniel Martinez (21st, Riverside CC), right-handed pitcher Aiden McIntrye (22nd, Holy Names); right-handed pitcher Leudeny Pineda (26th, ASA College Miami), outfielder Chase Calabuig (27th, San Diego State), right-handed pitcher Reid Birlingmair (28th, Illinois-Chicago), left-handed pitcher Austin Briggs (29th, McNeese State), first baseman Gio Dingcong (30th, St. Thomas Aquinas), right-handed pitcher Alex Pantuso (31st, Slippery Rock), catcher John Jones (32nd, North Greenville), catcher Joseph Pena (33rd, St. Thomas Aquinas), second baseman Nick Ward (34th, Weschester) and outfielder Austin Piscotty (38th, St. Mary's).
