A's recall RHP Graveman; Place OF Stephen Piscotty on bereavement list

The Oakland A's recalled right-handed pitcher Kendall Graveman from Triple-A Nashville and placed outfielder Stephen Piscotty on the bereavement list, the club announced today.

The Oakland A's recalled right-handed pitcher Kendall Graveman from Triple-A Nashville and placed outfielder Stephen Piscotty on the bereavement list, the club announced today.
Graveman, 27, was 1-0 with a 6.00 ERA (8 er, 12.0 ip) with eight strikeouts in two starts with Triple-A Nashville after being optioned on April 26. He began the season with Oakland, going 0-5 with an 8.89 ERA and .336 opponent's batting average in six starts. Graveman was last optioned to the minors in 2015 after starting the year 1-2 with an 8.27 ERA in four starts. He came back a month later to go 5-2 with a 1.78 ERA over his first nine starts following his return.
Piscotty, 27, is hitting .248 (30-for-121) with 12 runs, eight doubles, two home runs and 13 RBI in 34 games this season. Over his last 24 games, he's hitting .271 (23-for-85) with 10 runs, seven doubles, two home runs and eight RBI in 24 games. He was acquired by Oakland from St. Louis on December, 14, 2017 in exchange for two minor leaguers.
