A's Reinstate IF Nick Punto from the Disabled List

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's reinstated infielder Nick Punto from the 15-day disabled list, the club announced today.

Punto was batting .207 with two home runs and 13 RBI in 64 games when he was placed on the disabled list Aug. 3 with a strained right hamstring. He was hitting just .123 over his final 25 games before the injury. Punto has appeared in 45 games at second base (34 starts), 15 at shortstop (10 starts), two at third base and one in right field.
