A's Reinstate LHP Brett Anderson from the Disabled List

The Oakland A's reinstated left-handed pitcher Brett Anderson from the 10-day disabled list, the club announced today.

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's reinstated left-handed pitcher Brett Anderson from the 10-day disabled list, the club announced today.
Anderson was 3-4 with a 4.02 ERA and .276 opponents batting average in 13 starts when he was placed on the DL Aug. 28 with a strained left forearm. It was his second stint on the DL this year as he was also out from May 19 to July 7 with a strained right shoulder. He is 2-2 with a 2.83 ERA and .221 opponents batting average in seven starts since the All-Star Break after going 1-2 with a 6.08 ERA and .356 opponents average in six starts before the break. Anderson has walked just 12 batters in 65.0 innings overall and his average of 1.66 walks per nine innings is the lowest of his career.
