A's send RHP Logan Shore to Detroit as PTBNL in Fiers deal

The Oakland A's sent minor league right-handed pitcher Logan Shore to the Detroit Tigers as one of the two players to be named later in the Aug. 6 trade in which they acquired right-handed pitcher Mike Fiers.

The Oakland A's sent minor league right-handed pitcher Logan Shore to the Detroit Tigers as one of the two players to be named later in the Aug. 6 trade in which they acquired right-handed pitcher Mike Fiers. This completes the deal as the A's previously sent minor league right-handed pitcher Nolan Blackwood on Aug. 18
Shore was a combined 3-6 with a 4.45 ERA in 17 starts with Single-A Stockton and Double-A Midland in a season shortened by three stints on the disabled list. He was originally selected by Oakland in the 2nd round of the 2016 draft and is 5-13 with a 3.92 ERA in 44 career appearances, including 41 starts, in three professional seasons. The 23-year-old right-hander was rated as the A's 14th best prospect by mlb.com
