December 11th, 2018

LAS VEGAS -- An autographed jersey is among the many items up for auction during this week's Winter Meetings as part of Major League Baseball's annual charity initiative.
This year's auction will support the Jackie Robinson Foundation and the Negro Leagues Museum, two important institutions that educate future generations of young people through honoring significant moments and individuals of baseball's past.
Bid now in A's charity auction
The auction is live on MLB.com/wintermeetingsauction from now through Thursday, when it will conclude at 7 p.m. PT. Items include special baseball experiences, including meetings with some of the game's biggest stars, along with unique items donated by MLB and the 30 clubs.
The A's have made three packages available in the auction; Davis' signed jersey is part of one that also features the opportunity to sit in the home broadcasting booth for one inning and serve as a guest public address announcer for a half-inning. It also includes four MVP-level tickets.
As part of another package, the winning bidder and three guests -- provided with four MVP-level tickets -- will get to watch batting practice from the field and meet the A's starting infielders prior to the game.
The third package includes personalized jerseys for the winning bidder and a guest, along with an opportunity to take batting practice on the field.
