OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's placed infielder Adam Rosales on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left intercostal, the club announced today.
Rosales was injured in yesterday's spring training game against Milwaukee. He was batting .324 with three home runs and nine RBI in 21 games and also had eight walks for a .468 on-base percentage. Rosales hit .222 with two home runs and eight RBI in 42 games with the A's last year. This is his third career stint on the DL.
The A's now have 35 active players in camp. That includes 32 players on the 40-man roster and three non-roster invitees. The breakdown includes 19 pitchers, three catchers, eight infielders and five outfielders.
