New York Mets to make first visit to Oakland since 2005; Los Angeles Angels arrive tor AL West Showdown

OAKLAND - The Oakland A's, who have maintained baseball's best record for nearly two months, play host to the New York Mets and division-rival Los Angeles Angels in a five-game homestand beginning Tuesday, Aug. 19.

The New York Mets, making their first appearance at the Coliseum since 2005, meet the Athletics for a brief two-game interleague set Tuesday night (7:05 p.m.) and Wednesday afternoon (12:35 p.m.).
