The Oakland Athletics announced today that all 162 regular-season games will be televised in 2018, including 147 on NBC Sports California. The remaining 15 games will be available in the A's TV territory on MLB Network and Fox Sports 1.
A's games on NBC Sports California will feature the Emmy Award-winning broadcast team of Glen Kuiper calling the play-by-play action and Ray Fosse as color analyst. Former A's pitcher Dallas Braden will be featured in 35 telecasts as a color commentator and 54 games in the newly created role of field analyst, reporting from a unique vantage point close to the action. Longtime in-stadium host Kara Tsuboi will join the broadcast team as a sideline reporter for a limited number of home games.
During the 2018 MLB season, NBC Sports California will have live in-market streaming of A's games - along with game-day shows A's Pregame Live and A's Postgame Live - on NBCSportsCalifornia.com and via the NBC Sports app. The live-streaming service is available at no additional cost to NBC Sports California subscribers on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
Additionally, 95.7 FM The GAME will return for its eighth season as flagship of the A's Radio Network. The San Francisco-based station features a daily sports talk format and will feature broadcasts of regular-season and select Spring Training games. The A's Radio Network spans 17 stations across three states, including KHTK-AM in Sacramento. Ken Korach will return for his 23rd season with the A's and his 13th as the team's lead radio announcer, pairing with Vince Cotroneo, who will begin his 13th season with the A's.
For the seventh straight season, KIQI (1010 AM, San Francisco), KATD (990 AM, Pittsburg), and KEJY (790 AM, Eureka) will serve as the Spanish-language home of Oakland A's baseball, broadcasting 74 games from the Coliseum. The games will be simulcast on all three stations, with full coverage in the Bay Area and a signal that will reach throughout Northern California. The total of 74 games is the highest number of games ever broadcast in Spanish by the A's, demonstrating their commitment to being inclusive of the Spanish-speaking community throughout Oakland and beyond.
Amaury-Pi González, a pioneer in establishing Spanish baseball radio play-by-play in the Bay Area, will return for his 25th season with the A's and 35th season overall in MLB. González will be joined by Venezuelan-native Manolo Hernández-Douen, who will begin his fourth season as an A's analyst.
