Blue Jays acquire RHP Jacob Waguespack from Phillies

The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired minor league RHP Jacob Waguespack from the Philadephia Phillies in exchange for LHP Aaron Loup.

Waguespack, 24, is 4-6 with a 4.68 ERA in 21 games for the Reading Fightin Phils of the Eastern League (AA) and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs of the International League (AAA). The 6-6, 225 lb. right-handed pitcher has pitched 82.2 innings this season allowing 85 hits with 36 walks and 79 strikeouts. The native of Waco, TX owns a career record of 17-16 and a 3.67 ERA in four minor league seasons.
