Blue Jays, Triple-A Buffalo extend deal through '16

The Blue Jays extended their relationship with Triple-A Buffalo through 2016 on Thursday.

The Bisons added a two-year extension to their current player development pairing as Toronto's top Minor League affiliate. The announcement was made during Buffalo's final home game of the regular season.

Since 1978, the Blue Jays have had just two other Triple-A affiliates: Syracuse from 1978-2008 and Las Vegas from 2009-2012.

Before the Bisons' relationship with the Blue Jays, they were linked with the Pirates, Indians, White Sox and Mets.
