Blue Jays place Frasor on disabled list

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have placed RHP JASON FRASOR on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to July 17 with right forearm tightness.

Frasor, 34, is in his 9th Major League season, having appeared in 517 games, all but 20 with the Blue Jays. The Oak Forest, Illinois native is the all-time leader in pitching appearances for Toronto with his 497. In 42 games in 2012, has posted a 1-1 record with 12 holds and a 4.00 ERA, including 45 strikeouts in 36 innings. The 42 appearances and 12 holds lead the club.
