Mets: Francisco Álvarez, C (MLB No. 35), High-A Brooklyn
The Mets’ future was on full display Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn’s 18-hit, 13-run outburst and Álvarez was once again a catalyst. Starting at designated hitter, the 20-year-old homered, doubled and walked in his second straight multi-hit game. Álvarez extended his hitting streak to a modest four games, which has pushed his slash line with the Cyclones to .278/.376/.542. Overall, the top Mets prospect is batting .333/.461/.583 with 18 extra-base hits, 26 RBIs and 25 walks in 37 games with Low-A St. Lucie and Brooklyn. Mets prospect stats »

Rays: Vidal Bruján, 2B (MLB No. 37), Triple-A Durham
As hot as Bruján was in May, this month has been less kind. The 23-year-old entered Saturday’s contests 7-for-47 in June, including a 1-for-24 stretch that had dropped his average 58 points to .257. However, he rebounded with a homer and three hits Saturday before going deep again and doubling in four at-bats in Durham’s win Sunday afternoon. Despite his recent struggles, Bruján has lived up to billing as one of baseball’s best young prospects, batting .274/.363/.514 with 17 extra-base hits, 25 RBIs and 14 stolen bases. Angels: Reid Detmers, LHP (MLB No. 58), Double-A Rocket City
Detmers turned in the best performance of his career to date, fanning 14 batters and tossing an immaculate inning in Rocket City’s 3-2 win over Biloxi. The 10th pick in the 2020 Draft tossed six innings and allowed two runs on three hits with two walks. Detmers is just the fourth Angels Minor Leaguer to reach 14 K’s in the last 15 years, joining Jered Weaver, Tyler Skaggs and teammate Cooper Criswell. Phillies: Mick Abel, RHP (MLB No. 60), Low-A Clearwater
James McArthur, RHP (No. 27), Double-A Reading
Abel, the top Phillies prospect, yielded a run on a hit without issuing a walk while whiffing eight over four frames. The right-hander whiffed the side in the opening inning on 12 pitches and retired the side in order again in the third. The only blemish for Abel on the afternoon was a solo shot by Orelvis Martinez with two outs in the fourth. The 19-year-old has amassed 38 strikeouts over 25 ⅔ innings this season.

McArthur, the 27th-ranked Phillies prospect, posted his first scoreless outing of the year. The righty worked around a pair of hits and a walk to whiff a season-high seven over five frames. McArthur was pulled after tossing 74 pitches -- 47 were strikes. The 24-year-old earned his first victory of the season while bringing his strikeout total to 33 over 35 ⅓ innings. Reds: Michael Siani, OF (No. 5), High-A Dayton
Siani provided all the offense for Dayton in an 11-2 loss to Fort Wayne. The 21-year-old smacked two homers in a 3-for-4 day at the plate, adding a single, two RBIs and two runs. He smacked homers in the second and fourth innings of the contest, his second and third blasts of the season. Siani is hitting .224 this season, but has begun to find his stroke in June, slashing .324/.432/.676 in with six extra-base hits in 12 games this month. Reds prospect stats »

Blue Jays: Gabriel Moreno, C (No. 7), Double-A New Hampshire
Moreno has made a home for himself with New Hampshire, but it remains to be seen just how much longer he’ll be there. The 21-year-old homered for the third consecutive game, doubled and drove in two runs during his third straight multi-hit performance. Moreno’s blazing start to the season sees him among the Top 10 in several offensive categories, including a four-way tie for second with 40 RBIs. Overall, the backstop is hitting .388/.438/.690 with 18 extra-base hits in 29 games. Moreno has not finished a game this season with an average below. 367. Blue Jays prospect stats »

Pirates: Hudson Head, OF (No. 5), Low-A Bradenton
Canaan Smith-Njigba, OF (No. 24), Double-A Altoona
Head put together one of his best games as a pro -- bashing a homer, a double, and driving in a career-high five runs. The fifth-ranked Pirates prospect cleared the bases with a two-out double down the left-field line in the second, worked a five-pitch RBI walk in the fourth and hammered a round-tripper to right with two outs in the eighth. The 20-year-old has five homers, six doubles, 22 runs scored and 15 RBIs this season.

Smith-Njigba, the club’s 24th-ranked prospect, turned in the third four-hit performance of his career and first of the season. The 22-year-old was perfect in four trips to the plate, doubling to left in the first before coming around to score the Curve’s first run, lining a base hit to left in the third, going the other way for another single in the fifth and leading off the eighth with a squared up ball into right again before coming around to score a second time. Cardinals: Jhon Torres, OF (No. 7), High-A Peoria
Torres fell a triple shy of the cycle during his third three-hit game of the year. The 21-year-old swatted his second homer, doubled and tied his season-high with two runs and two RBIs. Torres is hitting .302 in June while hitting safely in 12 of 14 games. Overall, the Colombia native is batting .292/.340/.423 with 15 extra-base hits, 21 runs and 13 RBIs in 34 games for Peoria. Dodgers: Andy Pages, OF (No. 8), High-A Great Lakes
The Havana, Cuba, native showed pop in 2019 when he homered 19 times in 63 games. He’s proving this season it was no fluke. Pages went deep twice and drove in three runs Sunday, giving him seven in 70 at-bats this month. The 20-year-old is batting .271/.400/.657 with 12 extra-base hits and 14 RBIs in June after hitting .245/.333/.457 in May. His 12 home runs leads the organization. Dodgers prospects stats »

Athletics: Junior Perez, OF (No. 10), Low-A Stockton
Perez has found the going rough during the first six weeks of 2021, but a second consecutive multi-hit effort and fourth in sixth games has lifted his average over .200 for the first time since May 12. The 19-year-old belted his fourth home run, legged out his third triple and fell a double shy of the cycle while tying his career high with four RBIs to lead Stockton. D-backs: Seth Beer, 1B (No. 13), Triple-A Reno
Beer homered for the first time since June 10 and added two doubles for his second three-hit performance since Friday. The 24-year-old opened the scoring with an opposite-field blast to left field in the first inning and ignited Reno’s five-run rally with an RBI double in the seventh. After putting together a solid .277/.384/.482 slash line in May, Beer has kicked it into overdrive in June. Twins: Jose Miranda, INF (No. 17), Double-A Wichita
The leadoff hitter set the table for the Wind Surge with his seventh three-hit game of the season and second with multiple homers. Miranda mashed a solo shot to left-center in the third, led off the sixth with his 11th jack of the year, and singled and scored in the seventh. The 22-year-old extended his hitting streak to five games and is sporting a .323/.392/.557 slash line with 17 extra-base hits, 33 RBIs and 32 runs scored over 41 games this season. Tigers: Bryant Packard, OF (No. 19), High-A West Michigan
The 19th-ranked Tigers prospect turned in the first four-hit effort of his career. Packard led off the game by punching a single through the right side of the infield, enjoyed a similar outcome on an 0-2 pitch in the third, went right back up the middle in the sixth before swiping his fifth base of the year, and laced a double to deep right to lead off the ninth. Rockies: Niko Decolati, OF (No. 24), High-A Spokane
Decolati drove in a career-high four runs, tallied three hits and fell a triple shy of the cycle in Spokane’s win. The 23-year-old opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the second and plated two more with a double an inning later.
