Braves, Mets postponed; makeup May 28

Two teams to play day-night doubleheader on Memorial Day

April 22nd, 2018

ATLANTA -- April showers brought yet another idle Sunday to the Braves.
Heavy rain forced the Braves to postpone Sunday afternoon's game against the Mets at SunTrust Park. The game will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader that will be played on May 28, which is Memorial Day. The first game will start at 1:10 p.m. ET, and first pitch for the nightcap is slated for 7:10 p.m. ET.
The Jason Isbell concert already scheduled for May 28 will start after the conclusion of the second game.
The Braves have not played a game on three of the first four Sundays of this month. They had a scheduled off-day on April 1 and have been rained out each of the past two Sundays.
Braves manager Brian Snitker will not alter the order of his rotation. Each starter will take his next turn with an additional day of rest. Sunday's scheduled starter Mike Foltynewicz will now take the mound for Monday's series opener.
Guests who had a ticket for Sunday's game can use that ticket for admission to the nightcap of the May 28 doubleheader. Mobile tickets will remain available in the Ballpark app until the rescheduled date. Guests with a pre-paid parking pass can use the same parking lot and barcode for the rescheduled game.
Those guests who are unable to attend the rescheduled game can exchange their paid ticket for a ticket to any remaining 2018 regular-season Braves home game. Ticket exchanges must take place before the rescheduled game is played on May 28.
