Atlanta Braves make spring roster moves

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - The Atlanta Braves trimmed their spring roster by six players today, as three players were optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett, two were re-assigned to Triple-A Gwinnett and one was given his unconditional release.

Left-handed pitcher Ryan Buchter and outfielders Jose Constanza and Joey Terdoslavich were optioned to Gwinnett, while infielders Tyler Greene and Tommy La Stella were re-assigned to Gwinnett. In addition, right-handed pitcher Freddy Garcia was given his unconditional release.

Atlanta now has 29 active players remaining in its Major League camp. The Braves begin the 2014 campaign on Monday, March 31, at Milwaukee (2:10 p.m., SportSouth).
