Braves’ No. 21 prospect Spencer Strider was untouchable for Low-A Augusta on Wednesday, striking out 10 batters in 3 2/3 hitless innings against Fayetteville.
The 2020 fourth-round Draft selection nearly faced the minimum, walking just one batter in his outing. He now has 17 strikeouts across 6 2/3 innings for the GreenJackets and has yet to allow a hit to start the year.
For Strider, it marked only the second start of his professional career.
