Did you know? NLDS Game 2: ATL 4, LA 3
A look at some notable facts and figures from the Atlanta Braves' 4-3 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2 of the National League Division Series at Turner Field on Friday.
• The Dodgers had their seven-game win streak in the NLDS snapped.
• Braves closer Craig Kimbrel recorded a four-out save. The right-hander converted 50 of 54 save chances in the regular season, including one four-out save Aug. 25 in St. Louis. Kimbrel, 25, is the youngest pitcher in Major League history to save at least 50 games in one season.
• Hanley Ramirez had three hits -- two doubles and a two-run homer -- and drove in all three of the Dodgers' runs. The shortstop, playing in October for the first time in his career, also had an RBI double in Game 1.
• The Braves scored two runs against four Los Angeles relievers in the seventh inning. The Dodgers' bullpen had allowed just one run in its previous 32 innings.
• Dodgers shortstop Dee Gordon pinch-ran and was thrown out attempting to steal second for the second out in the ninth inning. Gordon stole 10 bases in the regular season and was caught stealing twice.
• Atlanta starter Mike Minor earned the win in his first postseason appearance with 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball. The left-hander was on the Braves' roster for last year's Wild Card loss to the Cardinals, but did not pitch.
• Dodgers starter Zack Greinke took the loss and allowed two runs on four hits in six innings. Greinke is 1-2 with a 5.56 ERA in four career starts in the postseason.
• The Braves scored all of their runs in Game 2 with two outs. The Dodgers scored four of their six runs in Game 1 with two outs.
• The Dodgers had five batters reach base leading off innings, but only one of those runners scored.
• Dodgers reliever Brian Wilson tossed a 1-2-3 eighth inning and has not allowed an earned run over 13 2/3 innings in his postseason career. Wilson also fired a scoreless eighth inning in Game 1.
• Atlanta is 4-1 all-time against Los Angeles in the NLDS.
