PHILADELPHIA -- Ender Inciarte was back in the Braves' lineup for Monday's series-opening 3-0 loss in Philadelphia, a day after colliding with the center-field fence while trying to make a catch at SunTrust Park, and he wasted no time making a play in the field.
Inciarte was the catalyst of a double play in the first inning, throwing out Cesar Hernandez, who tried to advance to second base on a fly ball to the warning track in straightaway center field.
Inciarte left the Braves' wild comeback victory over the Marlins in the sixth inning after the collision in the fourth. His right shoulder absorbed most of the blow, but Inciarte felt fine on Monday and was hitting sixth in the Atlanta order as the team opens a three-game set against the Phillies.

"You never know, after he sleeps on things after you have a wreck like that," Braves manager Brian Snitker said. "He pretty much assured me [Sunday] night that he'd be ready to go. And he could've continued to play in the game, but kind of where we were in the game, I think as the game wore on, he probably got a little more sore. It wasn't a bad thing to shut him down."
Inciarte was 0-for-3 in Sunday's game, but the 27-year-old is hitting .341 with a 1.010 OPS in his last 11 contests.
Sanchez pitches for Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday
Anibal Sanchez made a rehab start for Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday night, and his first appearance in a game since April 13 did not go well. He allowed eight runs on eight hits (two homers) and three walks in 3 2/3 innings against Durham. Sanchez threw 69 pitches without making it out of the fourth inning and had five strikeouts.
Sanchez, 34, was originally slated to pitch in an extended spring training game. He has missed most of the season with a right hamstring injury, but had a 1.29 ERA in three appearances (14 innings) before hitting the disabled list.
