MILWAUKEE -- Here's another sign of spring from the Brewers: Tickets sales are about to begin.
The club will hold its annual Arctic Tailgate on Saturday, March 1, an event that marks the start of ticket sales and parking passes for individual home games in 2014. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. CT that day at Brewers.com for those who choose to shop in their pajamas, and at the Miller Park box office for fans willing to brave the elements.
This is the eighth year the Arctic Tailgate has kicked off the Brewers' general sales season.
Tickets for the Brewers' Opening Day game against the Braves on March 31 at 1:10 p.m. CT will only be available in person at the box office and are in very limited supply. Each fan will be limited to a maximum of four tickets for Opening Day, based on availability.
Meanwhile, through Monday, Feb. 17, fans can visit Brewers.com to register for the opportunity to purchase up to four tickets to Opening Day and up to eight tickets to weekend games at Miller Park this season.
As in past years, the Brewers have set regulations for fans who camp out at Miller Park ahead of the event. Participants will not be permitted to set up camp prior to noon on Thursday, Feb 27. No hand-made or hand-built shelters are permitted. No shelters made of cardboard or wood will be permitted. Shelters with a footprint greater than 100 square feet are not permitted unless otherwise approved by the Brewers. Miller Park power sources are not available for public use and gas generators are not permitted on the property. Only state-approved gas or propane heating and grilling units with fuel-valve turn-offs and self-contained charcoal/wood units are permitted, and they must be a minimum distance of 25 feet from the building or shelters.
The Brewers reserve the right to remove any shelter, items, or individuals from the property.
For the first time, the Brewers and Leinenkugel's Brewing Company are setting up a heated tent for campers, which will be open from 5 p.m.-10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. The first statewide serving of Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy will be available to a limited number of guests who are 21 and older.
On March 1, Grebe's Bakery will supply complimentary donuts for those in line, and the Klement's Famous Racing Sausages, Bernie Brewer and Brewers alumni players will be on hand to greet fans. The first 2,000 fans in line will receive a hot dog, a soda and a T-shirt.
The Brewers will once again employ demand-based pricing in 2014, which means that prices for all 81 of the team's home games are subject to change. Only all-inclusive areas, suites and the Uecker Seats are exempt from this policy.
According to the team, the lowest ticket prices are typically available for fans who make their purchases early.
More information about ticket prices and parking is available at Brewers.com/tickets.
