MILWAUKEE -- Brewers Community Foundation today announced the return of the Hitting 4 the Cycle benefit bike ride set for Saturday, August 25. Interested riders can visit Brewers.com/bikeride to register beginning today.
Riders will participate in a 25-mile route that starts and ends at Miller Park, running through Milwaukee's Third Ward and along Lake Michigan's shore. Following the ride, all registrants will attend a tailgate in the Miller Park parking lot. Riders will conclude the festivities by attending that evening's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The cost to register is $50, with a $50 fundraising minimum. The funds that are raised will support the Urban Ecology Center and DreamBikes. Consistent with BCF's mission, these organizations provide quality programming in the areas of health, education, recreation and basic needs.
Riders who raise more than the requisite $50, will be eligible for a variety of Brewers prizes.
In addition to the tailgate and a Club Outfield Box ticket to the game, participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt and will be entered into a drawing to win unique Brewers and biking-themed prizes as well as great experiences.
Sponsors of "Hitting 4 the Cycle" include Prairie Springs-the Paul Fleckenstein Trust, Trek Bicycle Corporation and Miller Lite.
