MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Brewers pitchers Brent Suter and Devin Williams, alongside officials from PNC Bank today presented Chromebooks to the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club to support educational programming and technology needed for students to participate in virtual learning this school year. PNC Bank provided support to help purchase the much-needed Chromebooks. In addition, Suter and Williams have personally pledged funding to support accessibility to learning.

“Our students are facing unique, ongoing challenges due to the pandemic, especially in school districts that may have fewer resources, said Chris Goller, PNC regional president of Wisconsin. “Working with the Brewers allows our organization to make an immediate impact on students’ digital learning capabilities and helps minimize disruption during their academic year.”

Many of the children at the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club are facing new challenges with virtual learning, from the need for Chromebooks and improved technology, to headphones that allow them space and privacy to focus on their schoolwork.

“We set out on a team mission this year of Justice Equality Now, and integral to the mission is community action and involvement. The Boys & Girls Club does incredible work for youth in underserved communities and we want to help them as much as we can,” said Suter. “We are grateful for the support of PNC Bank in this effort. This is one of the many steps we plan to take to be part of the changes we want to see in our community.”

Suter, the 2020 Milwaukee Brewers Roberto Clemente nominee, is no stranger to initiating action and support for important causes in his community, and further, worldwide.
