The St. Louis Cardinals will host an exclusive Speaker Series event with three-time All Star Matt Carpenter on Tuesday, September 11, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Busch Stadium. As part of the event, Matt will discuss his baseball career, current MVP-caliber season and his famous salsa during a 45-minute Q&A session with broadcaster Dan McLaughlin.
 
In addition to the program, fans that purchase a ticket will receive a gourmet lunch served in the Cardinals Club, the opportunity to take a photo on the field at Busch Stadium and take home Matt's official "It's Gotta Be The Salsa" t-shirt. This is the third Speaker Series event to feature a current Cardinals player. 

Now in his eighth season with St. Louis, the former Silver Slugger award winner currently leads the National League with a career-high 34 home runs. Carp also leads the league in slugging percentage (.579), OPS (.963), and extra base hits (72), and ranks among the NL top ten in runs, walks and on-base percentage. Earlier this season, Carpenter broke Lou Brock's franchise record for most career lead-off home runs (22).
