Spring site enters naming rights agreement

February 23rd, 2018

JUPITER, Fla. -- The Spring Training complex the Marlins and Cardinals have shared for two decades has a new name.
The facility will now be known as Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, the result of a 10-year agreement to rename the stadium. The ballpark was previously called Roger Dean Stadium.
Roger Dean Chevrolet has been the only naming rights partner since the stadium opened in 1998. It is also home to the Palm Beach Cardinals and Jupiter Hammerheads, the Cardinals' and Marlins' Class A Advanced affiliates, respectively, and the organizations' Gulf Coast League clubs.
The Marlins moved into the ballpark in 2003.
Cardinals chairman and chief executive officer Bill DeWitt Jr. and Marlins chairman and principal owner Bruce Sherman announced the rebranding before Friday's Grapefruit League opener.
