Over $165,000 to be Donated Among Area Groups That Serve Youth

October 11th, 2021

ST. LOUIS, Mo., October 11, 2021 – The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that Cardinals Care will distribute over $165,000 in grant money to 80 area nonprofit groups that support local kids as part of the team’s summer grant cycle. The grants will be used to fund tangible items, one-time capital expenses and special supplies or purchases that directly benefit children.

“We are proud to provide funds to so many local nonprofits that share in our mission to support kids, said Michael Hall, Vice President, Community Relations and Executive Director of Cardinals Care. We are extremely thankful to our fans who support us year after year through our various fundraising efforts which in turn allows us to fund these important grants.”

Cardinals Care was established to give fans a way of teaming up with Cardinals players and the organization to help children in our community—both on and off the baseball field. Cardinals Care has provided over $12 million in grants to non-profits since 1997. There are two grant cycles each year, one in spring and one in summer. Organizations that have been a 501c3 for at least a year and are interested in applying for a Cardinals Care grant can find more information at cardinals.com/grants.
