The last team in the Field of 64 for this season was also the last team standing as the Men's College World Series champion Ole Miss Rebels topped the final National College Baseball Hall of Fame Power Poll for 2022.

Brian Hamm helped Eastern Connecticut State break through and win the Division III national title. For this effort, he earned the 2022 Skip Bertman Award from the College Baseball Foundation.

Thanks to the growth and success of the College Baseball Foundation’s three staple awards – the National Pitcher of the Year Award, the Brooks Wallace Award recognizing the top shortstop in the game and the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award – the CBF is once again honoring the top players from 2022 with its All-American team.

For the last two seasons, no shortstop in the country has been as consistent while putting up impressive numbers as Brooks Lee. His numbers, that consistency and his belief in himself make Lee the 2022 winner of the Brooks Wallace Award, presented by the College Baseball Foundation to honor the nation’s top collegiate shortstop.

Head of the class of 2022 hurlers, Cooper Hjerpe has done a standout job for Oregon State and is the 2022 winner of the National Pitcher of the Year Award presented by the College Baseball Foundation.

Paul Skenes, a right-handed pitcher and catcher, put together a monster season despite missing time early dealing with back issues. He established himself as not only one of the top players in the Mountain West but also one of the top two-way talents in the country, and for that he is the winner of the 2022 John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award.
